 Was it normal to try and ask for help from the son of the Devil?  Dean wasn’t sure what he was doing here, but apparently there  was a situation that he had been called in for, and a few other  ‘specialists’. Was he mildly intimidated? Probably. But at least  he would be able to handle a gun on this mission.

“ I’m taking that you’re our... occult specialist? Given the whole, ”    Dean asked, trailing off before waving a pointed    finger around the center of their chest.

15: Biggest and smallest short term goal? 

Smallest short term goal, find some damn way to either make his hair relax or, if that fails, find a way to not look ridiculous when he gives up and just shaves it all off for a buzzcut. It’s a war with no end in sight, really, only a bitter ongoing struggle.

Biggest short term goal, find a place to stay where he feels reasonably secure that isn’t, say, in the Himalayas or somewhere similar. While he logically knows he’s pretty safe in his “skeevy garden shed”, he can’t fight back the feeling that the X-Men will either turn on him and attack him for his past actions or throw him out. Or both, possibly. 

24: Is there one subject of study that they excel at? Or do they even care about intellectual pursuits at all? 

Surprisingly, botany— less in theory, more in the practical application. By which I mean gardening. There were some old books on the subject left in the garden shed he slept in for a while, and while bored he started pawing through them. Things just kind of… went from there. It’s not really something he advertises, however, or something he even considers himself that good at. 

As for more traditional intellectual pursuits… no. Not at all. His public education stopped at about a fifth/sixth grade level when his powers first manifested, and while he’s gotten some spotty and varied education since then that was most self-teaching, he’s just not interested in officially finishing schooling. Reminds him too much of ‘dad’, anyway.

32: Thoughts on material possessions in general?

He’s not all that focused on them; he wasn’t really able to have any for a while on Muir, and by the time that changed he had formed the mindset of “don’t have anything you can’t grab quick before running”. Generally, everything he owns can be thrown into a backpack. He very rarely has more than he can easily carry, and if he really needs something he doesn’t have he’ll either fabricate it (Moira’s good at that), borrow it, or ‘borrow’ it.
