43. Do you take a sadistic joy in whumping your characters, or are you more the "If you hurt them I would kill everyone and then myself" kind of person?
deeeeeeeeeeeeeeefinitely closer to the former lmfao. but it's less that i'm out here to whump my guys for its own evil sake, and more that i am enjoying making YOU guys suffer. the emotional reaction from the audience taking part in the yearning or the tension or the betrayal is the entirety of the fun for me.
and, okay, there's something masochistic about it, too. @haysfever will get in a sadistic mood and need to take it out on the characters once in awhile but on my side i will write something to stew in my own feelings, moreso projection than perpetration, if that makes any sense.
if anything i'd say i get ragebaited by pure fluff. absolutely no offense, everyone turns to fanwork for different reasons, but on my side of things it's bc i need to be insane or see people being insane, so enduring a wedding-and-kids type fic is difficult for me unless it's like...not the OTP's wedding, but the one guy's kid is secretly the other's affair baby, or smth lmfao.
so similar to that ask you were so kindly balancing out, when i open fic requests and ppl are like "what if they were niceys and marryed to each other happily and died offscreen in each others arms :)))" i'm like "ah. you got here from the ship tags didn't ya" lmaoooo.
