Happy 22nd birthday, @gaylite!

These past two years have been a rocky time for both of us, but somehow we made it through the ‘four year relationship itch’. I’m grateful to have you in my life, and honestly don’t know where I would be if I didn’t call you up that one night while high off of my ass. I really hope that what we’ve gone through together cements the idea in our heads that we can make it through hardships, whether imposed by our environments or imposed by each other. I hope I never have to stop drawing these birthday cards for you. You are my one and only Amethyst, and that will never change.

- Haylie is conflicted over hr father’s actions. He is no doubt a very powerful villain, but his recklessness failure to succeed had landed him and Haylie on the Isle. Still, Haylie bitterly knows she wouldn’t take back his actions and where they landed them, considering how being on the Isle is how she met Cora and Cole.

- They constantly get into rather loud arguements which are known to wake up anyone within a few blocks of their house.

- Haylie used to be a lot closer to Hades as a child. They would laugh and joke around a lot, which they only do on the rare occasion now.

- The two would constantly come up with super evil schemes when Haylie was a child and while Hades would bring up pain and suffering, Haylie would mention how she would make everyone go to sleep before 7 and not let them wear their favorite shirt. (Hades, of course, would nod and go along with it because at least she has the right idea.)

- As Haylie started turning into a teenager, the two started to drift apart while their relationship strained.

- Hades doesn’t mind being called names like ‘mean’, ‘rude’, or ‘selfish’, but he would be lying if he didn’t feel a pang in his heart whenever Haylie calls him a bad dad.

- Although she would definitely deny it, Haylie does want to make her father proud, but she’s not sure if she wants to carry through with the villainy stuff that would lead to that.
