the yearn for the simplicity is quite a strange feeling. it's less a case of 'I miss being on holiday' and more a case of 'I miss the rolling fields and tiny towns'. this place was less.... remote? I mean, 10 minutes till the nearest town is rather different to 20 minutes from the nearest village, but honestly I miss both. the lil sweet shops and bakeries and the tiny art and craft markets and waking up to fields of sheep and cows. if I had to pick I'd say the first place but honestly I just want the fields. I want the tiny lil hatched houses and the farms and the fresh countryside air. I even miss the lakes, and that's definitely not because of the house we stayed in lmao. Just. I yearn for the grass and the trees and the feeling of being away from civilization, ygm?
