This Hawaiian Luau Burger will take you to the tropical flavors of Hawaii. This burger is a real treat thanks to the grilled pineapple, teriyaki sauce, and Swiss cheese.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1/2 cup pineapple slices. 4 hamburger buns. 4 slices of Swiss cheese. 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce. 4 lettuce leaves. 4 slices of cooked bacon. 1/4 cup mayonnaise. 1/4 cup red onion slices. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Season the ground beef with salt and pepper, then shape it into four burger patties. Grill the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes per side or until they reach your desired level of doneness. During the last minute of grilling, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty and cover to melt. Grill the pineapple slices for 1-2 minutes per side until they have grill marks. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for a minute or until lightly browned. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and teriyaki sauce. Assemble the burgers by spreading the teriyaki mayo on the bottom bun, followed by a lettuce leaf, a burger patty with melted cheese, a slice of grilled pineapple, a slice of bacon, and some red onion slices. Top with the other half of the bun and secure with a toothpick. Serve hot and enjoy your taste of Hawaii!
