Logan finally seeing the X-Men again in Wades universe and they are all older and settled, they don't do the missions anymore but they are still there teaching kids and helping them, still have family dinners and watch movies together, they are just older.
20 years older is alot for mutants that don't just...regenerate and stay the same age for years.
So it's weird for him, and maybe them, when they meet again.
Logan feels guilty. That his X-Men never got this. Didn't get to grow old together, didn't get to have this simple life after everything they'd been through- but he also feels some relief. At least, in one universe, they got that.
And everyone makes jokes about how Logan hasn't aged since they last saw him, that they couldn't believe he still looked as he did the last time they saw him, but it doesn't make him shudder like he thought it would- it makes him smile- because he had them back now.
And this time he wasn't running away.
