Late era Pedro/Bazan is certainly no better than the first outing, but it is at least different. The boilerplate-but-not-dull indie rock with harkings to The Lordâ„¢ remains, but now Bazan turns his conceptual art towards his own life. But good art is not just that which is relatable. This is an autobiographical pentet that I’m not particularly invested in finishing.Â
