Let’s get a couple things absolutely crystal clear first :)

Aside from that little shout, any hateful interactions with my writing or my blog will be deleted and result in a prompt block! I write fan fiction for free on tumblr dot com, why am I your op? Go touch grass if you’re even considering it. I’m not going to give it the attention it desperately craves. Get real.

Absolutely not:

𖤓 Let’s all take a deep breath and a cold shower really quick. I don’t write smut. Not that I really have to justify that boundary but tldr: my digital footprint is forever and frankly? I’m not good at it. I might make mention, I might be a lil suggestive here and there— but nobody’s showing hole in a Hau fic.

𖤓Nothing dubious. I might write a bit of cruelty in my own fics but that’s at my direction and done carefully. I don’t write that just for the hell of it, I’m not getting some sick satisfaction out of making us all uncomfortable and upset. Don’t go requesting bullying, abuse, stalking, incest, etc. etc. If you think it falls under that umbrella, best to save your metaphorical breath.

𖤓I write for my oc’s, they’re the characters I’ve tailored for their respective worlds. You can make a special request for a reader insert and I might try but I make no promises. Please, don’t request that I write for your oc’s. I don’t know their business.

𖤓 Don’t request pregnant!character or parent!character.

𖤓 No age-gap dynamics. With the exception of genuine immortals but that’s really not what I’m about and— much more importantly— it’s not what they’re about.

𖤓 Not to put a knot in your chain but absolutely no omegaverse, dude.

𖤓 We might have a cutsie little miscommie now and then but I don’t write cheating. Simply not my cup of tea and I don’t think there’s anyone I write who that would be in character for. More importantly, not one of my OC’s would have an inch of forgiveness for that. It’d be a story ender.

I don’t know, let’s find out!

𖤓This is going to be long winded. I tend to write femme characters and they’ve been clearly outlined in my cast of oc’s. I have a really complex relationship with own gender being that i don’t really feel like i have one. I can’t really explain it but in my private “serious” (for lack of a better term) writing, I tend to write in a male or non binary perspective but my oc’s for fic tend to be feminine in their pronouns at least. Please, don’t ask me to unpack why; I don’t know. Anyway, what I’m trying to say is let me know if you would prefer gnc! or masc characters, I’ll give it a whirl— (if I can figure it out. The OC of it all, I might come away with an entirely new character or do a little gendy bendy work. I don’t really know how I’d go about it.) I don’t tend to think about my character’s gender (might be a writer flaw, might just be a genderless thing) because I don’t think of my own. Besides the horrors, my gender couldn’t have less to do with me— that’s consistent with the writing of my characters, (I think.)

The Common Culprits

These are the characters I write for faithfully, my special little dudes. I like men better in theory, meaning I like em’ fictional and these are my comfort fictional men— requested or not, I’ll be writing for these bastards.

Ships

𖤓 Oh lord, we sailing.

𖤓 I don’t intuitively write slash as a focal point, it’s not really my thing. I just think about them and kick my feet. There’s no guarantee I’ll fulfill a ship request, some come more naturally than me to others, but I’ll certainly try! Requesting poly ships isn’t outlawed either but may take time (The OC of it all and venturing into new territory, y’know.)

Speaking of, let’s talk about my OC’s

𖤓 Man, I’m literally just here for a good time. Let’s get that straight first. Whether I was posting these or not, I write OC’s. I’ve always written OC’s. I fit someone into the world who has their own shit going on, their own background, their own story to tell around the canon. For that reason, I’ve been writing in the third person for the last erm… forever. I’ve tried changing it up, for fics and for personal projects alike. Writing in the first and second person makes me feel like my fingers have been ripped off. I mean— I didn’t do that, I don’t know what you did but I can sure as shit tell you what this guy over there did though. I’m still working out the logistics of maintaining my style while also adapting to the tumblr landscape (I’ve been on wattpad and ao3, so) please cut me some slack.

𖤓 Requests that require something wildly out of character or just don’t fit with what I’ve going on at all will be marked as fic canon divergent. All my characters have primary stories being weaved elsewhere— for the most part, anyway.

𖤓 I’ll say this until I’m blue in the face about OC’s but it’s in your hands once it’s written, imagine who you want. I’m gonna say sorry in advance for that hair colour not being y/h/c, buddy.

The Devil In The Details: Requesting

𖤓 Can’t stress how far your p’s and q’s will get you. I do this for free, for my own escape and yours, demanding isn’t going to get you anywhere

𖤓 Be specific! Saying I’ll take an order of angst with hurt/comfort on the side is gonna get you a load of hooey. Tell me what you’re looking for, who you’re looking for, how you’re looking for it. Give me something solid to work with or what’re you doing requesting?

𖤓 In the spirit of being specific— make sure you let me know what era or I’ll just go willy nilly wit it.

𖤓 I’ve got a sparkly new appreciation for au’s! Have some funsie miniseries on the way because of it. I’d love some fun au requests to get the gears going!

𖤓 I love angst as much as the next guy. I thrive on it for some reason I’ll uncover in therapy someday. That said, if something puts strain on my mental health— the request will go unfulfilled. For my own good and yours. I’m rotted. If it’s getting to me, nobody needs to read that.

The Devil In The Details: Warnings.

𖤓I might not write smut but mdni for a plethora of reasons.

𖤓 The bulk of these warnings are applicable to long form work but I’d rather have this umbrella here and you not need it, than y’know.

𖤓If I miss a tag, tell me. The last thing I want is for anyone to start reading a fic unprepared for something they’re really not okay with.

𖤓 Simply? I don’t edit very well. Mainly, I don’t try to. This is for fun— proof reading is not fun and I’ve got a thesis to write. Cut me some slack but if you’re like oh man, that typo’s really fucking up this solid part— help a guy out.

𖤓I hope to keep it lighthearted here but things get a little dark and dreary over on ao3. So, I’m gonna give a little heads up for the upsetting shit I do that might be mentioned if not depicted here. As I said, the tags will let you know about shrodïnger’s dove.

𖤓Keep in mind the fandom you’re reading from me. If you’d expect it from the source, you can expect it from me. If you can’t expect it from the source? Check the tags.

𖤓 I’m personally affected by the death of a parent. So, a more than most of my characters either have lost or can be expected to be grappling with that kind of loss. I didn’t really realize that it’d become a pattern until recently but here we are. Sibling as well in an instance or so.

𖤓 Wickedly traumatized, me. Mentions and depictions of child abuse, neglect, the like. It’s not just for funsies torturing some kids, it’s part of the story— but still, not everyone can handle that. I try to cut it down as much as possible especially as I’ve gotten older. What you don’t see can be just as impactful as what you do— still, I warn. Not anticipating posting anything like that here and it’s not the focal point of any story but it’s a part of them and most importantly, it’s a motivation for that character. I can’t stress how much I do not romanticize that kind of thing but I write in some pretty bleak worlds and I myself am known to be a bit bleak. (Wheel In The Sky specifically needs edited— I began writing that story at thirteen and it shows.)

𖤓 General coarse language. Mentions and depictions of alcohol use and abuse. Mentions of drug use or addiction but I avoid anything more wild than a brewski.

𖤓 Violence!!! I write violently!!!! Violence means blood and gore! Again, tags!

𖤓 Most characters end up being agnostic or atheistic because religion just isn’t on my radar. There are some adaptations of religion and themes of it, you’ll know right off the bat. This is most commonly found in fics involving Minerva (La Belle Dame Sans Merci/ Carlisle Cullen) but also anything involving Supernatural is going to have some weird Supernatural style religious shit going on. Besides that, there might be a god is dead monologue now and then but again— long form warnings. Not something to expect beyond Minerva in this space.

𖤓 I will be doing everything possible to make sure you are adequately prepared for what you click onto. I know I’m being repetitive but I really can’t stress these things enough. I don’t want to be the reason for anyone’s bad day. I’m going to keep it as sunshine, rainbows and filler here as possible— with a little hurt/comfort angst now and then. It’s no fun escaping if it doesn’t hurt nicely, y’know?
