I had one of the weirdest things happen the other day.
Anyone ever encounter a cd that just - stops having lyrics?????
Just for one album repeat.
I’m a daycare teacher, and I’m pretty sure the cd in question is 2 decades old (at least it was released in the early 2000s).
No clue as to the age of the cd player, it replaced the old one a few years ago but definitely had some use before that.
Anyway, I’m used to the cds skipping, but as we have finite albums for the room I also have them all memorized.
And having one of my favorite “fun music” cds suddenly be purely instrumental was bizarre…..
The singing kicked back in the next play, at least it’s not broken.
Today is an especially technologically weird day. First my computer something (you’d think that since I study AND work in IT, I’d know what) blew and not my laptop cannot connect to screens anymore and doesn’t recognize the tablet either.
And now, just before I head to sleep, I discover that my kitchen radio is bloody haunted. Went to the kitchen: radio was on. Turned it off, turned around, the radio was back on. This repeated several times. Every time I’d turn it off, it would turn on again on its own. Tried turning it off with the remote and by pushing the off button on the radio. It just wouldn’t turn off! I finally resolved to just pulling the plug. Frankly I’m a little concerned that when I go back to the kitchen it’ll be on again.
