With a bow he took her hand into his and kissed her knuckles softly. Red wine eyes meeting hers as he stood up once more, but not removing his hold. The billowing of his shadow filling the regal cage, a goddess in a cage, an odd concept to him. She was powerful, but he had heard her cries from the depths of his kingdom. Even the daughter of a deity must answer to the call of a marriage that was so unjust. That was part of the reason he came, even a god of the underworld had a sense of what was right, and mischief. A stolen bride taken to the deepest depth of darkness.

          “My... first memory?”     Aigis started to answer by first making sure she had the question correct. Thinking back on it, memories before that night on the bridge felt far away and difficult to access.

No questions were forced as the sheer intensity in the way she clung to him spoke more than anything. Watching her fight to hard to stomp down this terror shot a shiver through him as all he could do was breathlessly watch. Not a word of complaint was voiced as her nails even made their mark, digging down and solidifying what she she experienced was a hell of a nightmare. Gentle shushing was voiced as he drew the heiress into the safety of his arms. Secured around her torso, his fingers began the repeated pace of skimming along  the curve of her back, nestling her body close to his.

“Yo, I’m here, Haru, I’m here..” To not be alone. The points were pieced together as to what happened to him within the depths of her dreams. Good care was taken to ensure she was nuzzled closer to him. Free reign to confirm she still had him safe within her arms was opened as way to bring comfort. His initially troubled expression softened to that special form of concern reserved for her.

To think this would’ve been one of the results on a day he actually got to sleep over. Their nest of blankets were disheveled, little mind being paid to it, every intention held to use himself as that warmth and security to ensure her that they were safe. ‘Man.. do she be havin’ these often? The girl had to deal with being alone enough as it is..’

“And I won’t be goin’ anywhere, you hear me?” Small adjustments were made in order to softly press a kiss upon one of her tear stricken cheeks. One of his hands took that moment to skim higher, brushing into her hair.
