Rather than handing you a finished character, it asks you to build one, shaping appearance, voice, personality, backstory and quirks into something specific. The deeper surprise arrives in conversation, where the AI feels natural, emotionally intelligent and reliably good at remembering context, which is exactly where so many competitors stumble.

So I just got this game on steam and I NEED to talk about it. Oml it's so cute.

So let's talk about Grimm's Hollow.

This game was developed and published in steam by Ghosthunter. (So sorry for no link right to them) You play as Lavender (the middle person with no eyes) as she wakes up in the Hollow.

You (Lavender) are a reaper. Someone who has died and is without a soul but does not have enough spirit strength to move on.

The little ghost you see next to Lavender in this picture is Timmy. He is your little brother who had his soul stolen as soon as he arrived in the hollow. It is up to you to get it back and send Timmy back to the world of the living.

There are other reapers around who you can interact with. The one above is known as The Baker. They're instrumental to the hollow as baked goods are how you regain health or in this case Willpower

And of course almost all of the baked goods have adorable names. And if you run out of Willpower you simply pass out and wake up outside of the area you were exploring. There is no auto health regeneration like going to sleep. (That would be helpful but it could also kinda be seen as cheating)

Anyway. So you're job as a reaper, (aside from your own personal goals of helping Timmy and passing on) is to of course reap other spirits. These are spirits that are TOO strong and can't pass on because of it. So they became aggressive and you need to combat them to lower their Willpower enough to pass on.

Unfortunately you can't see where their health is at but eventually they disappear. As you can see above the fighting mechanic is similar to attacking in Undertale. You need to hit the middle for the most effect. There are also special attacks that you can unlock along with special enhancements to your own attributes. Such as health, attack, defense, speed, ect.

Have I mentioned how beautiful the art style is yet? No? How dare I!

From the gif you see above is exactly how the combat looks, while in gameplay Lavender is not as tall and cannot be seen holding the scythe the art is similarly detailed

Now so far I have not finished playing this myself. But from the description I read on steam said it has multiple endings. And that is something I'm very excited for.

Okay anyway tl;dr go on steam and check out Grimm's Hollow. Bc honestly I could go on all day about it
