Emotions are real and valid, but they don't justify harmful behavior towards others. It's essential to recognize and work on behavior that is hurtful or abusive, even if it stems from intense emotions like anger, jealousy, or insecurity.
youre autisic correct? (i dont remember who i follow that is sorry if im wrong) my little brother is autistic and im trying to teach him how to be nicer. his school friends have taught him how to hit people and cuss and spit at people, i want to help him understand why thats not nice, he thinks its funny. thank you so much for the help!!
I am, yes. This is cumbersome to answer because Iām not sure what your brother is like. I donāt know his age and autism varies a lot from person to person, like some are verbal and some arenāt. Some have sensory issues, some donāt. Some are easily influenced, others are not. Some you see a lot of ehcolalia, others practically none. Some are in special classes or schools and some are mainstreamed. The variables are numerous. For example as a child I had a severe aversion to touching other people at all, so I never went through a phase where I might hit someone else because the idea of touching them was repulsive. But, Iāll try to offer some advice/insight both as an autistic person, the parent of an autistic person, and a person who has dealt with a great number of young children both autistic and not in general. Itās a little long, so I threw it under a cut.(Read moreā¦)
suddenly started caring about an ex-friend today who genuinely worries me
Telling a child they have an "old soul" can be used to validate unfair expectations or to excuse behavior that is harmful, making it seem as though the child should understand and accept it because they are "mature" enough to handle it.

I never thought I engaged in exploitative behaviors. And for a long time I didnāt. But I got my heart broken enough times to where I stopped giving a fuck. I donāt know how to stop. Itās wrong to lie to partners about being faithful itās wrong to be unfaithful and just bc I have a certain sexuality or disability IS NO EXCUSE. I never want to hurt my babies my sweet men that I love and care about so dearly but I am and I donāt know how to stop. Iām so sorry. This is why god punishes me. He punished me long before I engaged in these harmful exploitative behaviors because he knew before I did that I would become a shitty person. Iām so sorry my sweet babies Iām so sorry for lying and being unfaithful and hurting you
