HAUNTED DARK BRIDAL TRANSLATION NOVEL- Prologue PART ONE
Okay, I’m going to be honest. The prologue is really fucking long sooo. I’m just going to put this up and see how it does because I got tired (I’ve already read this through, you know). So, this being said I’ll put this up, see how it does, and decide whether or not I will continue doing this or if it is just a waste of time. After all, I could be working on some new original writings.
The more I love you,
The more I would like to eat you.
And once I become one with that body;
Would this thirst, this ache, be healed?
The closer I get,
The farther I become.
I see you beyond a desert mirage,
As if you were a faint illusion.
-Lord Richter
A young girl with blonde her and pretty pink eyes walked to the front of the ominous mansion. “Well, I seemed to have followed the directions properly and have arrived here in front of a haunted mansion.” Yui Komori mused aloud to herself. “Does my relative really live here?” She sighed, telling herself that she doesn’t think her father would be so irresponsible. Yui screamed as thunder roared in the sky, leading the way for heavy rain.
Due to the rain, Yui had no choice but to enter the strange house. Yui knocked politely, but there was no answer. She knocked again, louder this time, but there was still no answer. What should I do? The lights aren’t on, and it doesn’t look like anyone is here. It would be obvious though, since this house it rumored to be the neighborhood’s haunted mansion. For a person of the church to be living in a house said to have monsters…
Yui felt as though she had made a mistake. She remembered how she was surprised that her father was summoned overseas and would be leaving the next day. Yui had erupted with shock, he father telling her to lower her voice and to calm down. She remembered protesting that anyone in her position would react the same way. Yui asked where he would be traveling and was shocked by the answer that he would be heading to Eastern Europe.
Yui's father continued on to explain that he once lived there when he was young and that the official request had arrived to him in a hurry. He reassured his baffled daughter that there would be a successor to take over, so she didn’t need to worry about that. He then said that if anything happened, she would be in Japan.
As if it weren’t enough already, Yui’s father had told her that he could not bring her with him. Despite Yui's desperate pleads to go with him, her father snapped that she cannot come. Yui flinched at her father’s harshness and he quickly apologized, telling her that it is painful to live away from her, but that everything he does is for her sake. Yui, however, retorted on how leaving his only daughter alone in Japan is for her sake. Yui’s father is silent and it can be noticed that even though he is in pain, he still cannot allow her to come along. Her father then said that he had thought it over countless times and that he simply could no take her. It’s a job only I can do. She repeated his words and her father flinched at this, changing the subject quickly.
To make sure you have to troubles, I have made some precise preparations. I will be leaving tomorrow night and I want you to collect your luggage and rely on the person living in this address. Yui had asked who she would be living with, and he had only said that it was a distant relative, saying that this was the reason that she was only hearing of them now. They are involved with the church and will understand the circumstances. They won’t do anything bad to you. Her father encouraged her to think of them as a substitute rather and to rely on them for anything. Yui reluctantly obeyed, following her father's instructions.
Back in the present, Yui muttered, “I should have forced him to take me along with him.” However, she recalls how at that time, he had had a very angry look on his face, as if he would do anything to make sure she wouldn’t come along with him. I wonder what the reason was for that reaction? And what’s the job that only her father can do? After all, her father was just a Catholic priest whose specialty was maintaining the garden trees!
Suddenly, the mansion door creaked open on it’s own and she jumped, frightened. She assured herself, saying that she was mistaken on thinking that the door had opened by itself. That would be impossible.
Once again she knocked on the door. “Is anyone home?” Yui called out. “I’m Yui Komori.” She looked around, not noticing any living presences. But someone is here. They opened the door!
Yui thought about phoning her father, but she doesn’t want to worry him. However, she won’t get anywhere if she doesn’t. She searched for her cellphone and is frightened when lightning flashes and she noticed a human form. She calls out, but there is no response. ((HI THERE. IT’S ME. TAKING OUT MY -ED’S BECAUSE IT’S EASIER THAT WAY. SORRY NOT SORRY.)) She looks out to he human figure, thinking that he might be sleeping. She’s not certain though. She calls out again but there is no response. She goes closer, noticing he is a male with red hair and pale skin. His eyes are closed and she reaches out to touch him. When her hand meets her target, she is startled by how cold his skin is. Yui’s panic grows and she notices that he isn’t breathing. He must be dead!
Out of nowhere, Yui's heart starts to ache. She hears someone’s voice enter her mind, whispering, “Where are you…Where are you?” Yui is gasping for air but reminds herself that the man in front of her needs help, and that she needs to call an ambulance. She opens her phone and dials the emergency number, explaining to the operator that there is a dead man beside her. The operator asks for an address, but before Yui can say anything, the dead man opens his green eyes.
“You’re so noisy.” Yui screams in fright, backing away, but the boy named Ayato, grabs her ankle. “Why are you making so much noise and squealing and such?” Yui yelps as she tries to process everything that is happening. His heart… had stopped…
Ayato realizes that she is a girl and says, “What are you doing here?”
“You were…” Yui stutters out.
“I was what? I was pleasantly sleeping alone. Is there a problem with that?”
“Y-you were sleeping? Just a few minutes ago I was so sure that…” Yui stuttered again. You were dead.
