Haradashi are my favourite yokai .
they are cheerful yokai who dont do anythin bad. they like to cheer folk up, it always has a silly looking form so it can make people laugh ! :)
they appear to sad individuals , usually ones who r drinking at home .

Inktober day 12 : a haradashi
Despite his scary look of a face with arms and legs without anything else, the haradashi is a benevolent yokai (it's proper to Japan, translating by demon or spirit would not be precise enough) who loves sake just a little too much. According to the folklore, when he sees someone is sad alone at home, he comes comforting them, and in exchange of sake performs a happy dance for them to cheer them up. He can invite them home (generally a temple) and cook them a good meal. He also receives lost people who are not far from his temple when the weather is harsh or the night is dark.
The egos meeting a Haradashi? Mov
Haradashi: “Belly exposer.” A goofy, cheerful that sports comical features on their stomach and performs dances for lonely or sad individuals to make them laugh.
.....
-Marvin summons a Haradashi after researching the least harmful type of yokai.
-He read all about them and realized that maybe their charm could cheer up his brothers since things in the house have been kind of gloomy lately.
-When the Haradashi appears they gleefully introduce themselves to him, saying that it’s been ages since they’ve been able to entertain anyone.
-He then tells them of his “plan” to get the others to smile, but first he wants to test their charm out on Chase.
-So the Haradashi goes to the vlogger as a normal person, becoming a little sad when they find him in drunken tears.
-They just politely ask if they could sit with him and share some of the Japanese whiskey he’s drinking.
-After Chase pours them a glass (since he hasn’t fully registered the fact that there’s a total stranger in the house) and they take a sip, they get up and reveal their monstrous yet goofy form to him before they dance.
-He can’t help but giggle at them...and suddenly he forgets why he was depressed to begin with.
-Eventually Robbie and JJ come along after hearing Chase’s laugh, and they, too, immediately smile upon seeing the Haradashi dance around.
-Sooner or later Marvin shows up and properly introduces them to all the egos, explaining they were among the good yokai that wanted to help people feel genuine happiness.
-And as the weeks pass, they all agree that no matter how awful their day is...the Haradashi never fails to cheer them up.
