saw a post somewhere wishing for a spinaraki longfic, and my god, I want one too.

then understanding the feeling, I’ve decided to confess that, though I never said anything here on this blog, I’ve been sitting on one since 2019. It was a roleplay-story between me and @happojin-blog, written during MVA. she played spinner, I played Shigaraki. was super fun! and now also got permission to share it with everyone.

it’s a bit outdated because back in April 2019 when we started it, we didn’t have details like Spinner’s age, quirk, backstory; and it was also way before the Kurogiri-Oboro reveal too. So let’s say this story is just very AU.

Agreed. Not that Horikoshi is consistent but if you compare his size with Deku in chapter 69 he should be around 185-190 cm.

if shigaraki is still growing and he was at least a head taller than deku back then, he might be even taller than that now? that might have even just been his height then? i used this thing months ago for both of them when chapter 191 came out because i was really confused. i’m still confused, but it’s whatever. expecting characters to be drawn to scale in every panel is a bit too much, but he really fucked up there

5. Favorite teacher. 

Aizawa! He was actually one of my first favorites when I started watching BNHA, season 1 (along with Bakugou). I love the tough, surly mentors with a soft spot and a fierce protective streak. Being kind of a wreck of an adult is super identifiable, too.

12. Any character you disliked at first, but warmed up to? 

Well, Monoma I never really paid attention to and just passed him off as an obnoxious antagonist/comedic relief for a long time. But as the result of complicated tangential RP shenanigans, I delved into his character and created a ton of headcanons, and now I love him and even have an RP blog for him. I don’t advertise it here, because his headcanon backstory and portrayal deal with some very dark themes, and I don’t trust tumblr not to be assholes about it. But I guess if anybody is interested, message me, and I can give it to you?

Also, Hawks, kind of. I was behind on reading the manga at the time he made his debut, so all I saw was people jumping on an RP bandwagon and my friend’s initial opinion of him, which was that he was kind of an arrogant asshole. Of course, once I read the chapters for myself, I was pretty instantly like, “Crap, he’s my type. Play it cool…!” (This happens too often.) The truth-teller who can’t shut up with their opinion that inadvertently stirs people up…? Mmm, that me… I suppose ESTP’s and ENTP’s might be alike in that way. And I’ve loved where his development is going, too. Plus, I have absolutely adored him and Endeavor as foils.

I’ve actually considered RPing him, too, even though I know it’s an awful idea for so many reasons, including that I already tend to be anxiety-paralyzed keeping up with two RP blogs and am not as active as I wish I were, and there’s not a lot to go on yet for his mindset and backstory, and I’d have to change ALL my headcanons and characterization when they inevitably get dashed by canon… Stress. …But I’ve got manga-colorizations and headcanons and music and just general thoughts about Hawks, and I don’t know where to put them, because I’m a Shigaraki blog…!
