Iโm talking specifically about Hannibal ร female character and Will Graham ร female character fanfictions. Iโm honestly frustrated. Whenever I search for fanfics, 98% of them turn Y/N into a submissive-to-the-point-of-humiliation, falls-for-her-doctor-too-easily, naively-driven-by-sex, desperate-for-him-while-heโs-indifferent, people-pleasing-female, stress-relief-girl, reduced-to-her-body, objectified-female character or theyโre centered entirely around smut.
Itโs not okay, but at this point I almost expect it. Iโm not judging this genre as a whole, but as a woman, it feels humiliating. The problem is, I canโt stop thinking about how serious it actually is. It reduces women female characters in general to nothing but tools for sex and humiliation.
What about stories with real tension, challenge, thrill, anxiety, and genuine comfort? Iโm genuinely tired of seeing female characters constantly humiliated, infantilized, or used solely as sexual objects. Why is it so rare to find stories where the female lead actually fights, struggles, grows, and faces real challenges where sheโs treated like a real human being instead of a shallow stereotype?
If there are any fanfics of Hannibal ร female character or Will Graham ร female character that contain what Iโm looking for, please share them with me. Iโve only found maybe a few that actually had a meaningful plot, depth, and something worth reading. I just wish there were more stories that cared about the narrative as much as the characters.
