as a matter of fact, i do!! this is a little snippet of ceasefire, my post-trespasser/post-break up fic. here, cullen and rylen are checking in on some new members of their ex-Templar rehab center:
The shouting wakes him. It’s always a shock but even through the fog of sleep, he gets to his feet and automatically throws on a shirt in one fluid, practiced motion. The hallway is mercifully empty, and the source of the noise has their door open. He can already see Rylen in the doorway, arms crossed. He steps up behind him, peering into the room, squinting to see in the dark.
“Alright in here?” Cullen asks. The curtains in the room are drawn against what little starlight can filter in, drenching the two men sitting on the edge of their beds in utter darkness.
One of the men says, “Yes. Sorry. Just a—”
“Nightmare,” Rylen says. “I bet the Inquisitor heard that one. She must think we’re beating you all in here.”

❤️ what is your favorite line that you’ve written in a fic?
ah i loved this question because it got me going on an odyssey through my old fics and it was so fun rereading them 🥹 i’m going to go with these few lines from epiphany, a horizon fic. my favorite lines in any fic are always the ones i’m writing when i realize what the story is about (i am a pantser):
The tattoos on his skin remember the gauntlets, the shallow outcroppings of the cliffs he’s scaled, the machines he’s killed and the scars they’ve left as they fell, every girl he’s ever kissed, every story they’ve ever told of him. But some stories are gone now, burnt to ash and buried somewhere in No Man’s Land. And he’s just a man missing an arm, feeling homesick but not for a place.
🚀 do you like to outline your fic first or create as you go?
i have the barest most flimsy of outlines in my head before i start writing. like barely anything, usually just a feeling and a title (i have to title all my wips or i’ll die). this method is the only thing that works for me, if i start outlining it feels to me like the writing is over and i just never get anywhere, i’m awful.
