WHAT would he do without him ? always there to put together the rest of the puzzle. had done so when they were kids. that magic album filling in the blanks, turning six to seven. gave them all a shot. 

my it seemed like mike hanlon was keeping up the streak, even as an adult. & to think his friend remained here all these years. 

 for that & everything else bill still owed him. 

“ i think you would know better then the rest of us mike .” they were back, no denying it. & hell they would need all the help they could get. “ so what have w-we missed ?”

MAW  WITH  STRINGS  OF  LATHERY  FOAM,          an  unthinking  grin  plastered  across  a  rabid  picket  fence  of  teeth.          the  racket  of  a  saint  bernard  in  the  night  infuriates  the  beast  even  more     :     MUZZLE  IT  BEFORE  IT  BITES.          the  smell  of  blood  is  putrid,   salt  in  the  wound  of  an  already  blood - caked  snout,   acrid  and  sharp  to  his  nose.          HE  WILL  FIND  THE  SOURCE  OF  EVERY  SMELL  AND  DISMEMBER  IT.          

the  sheep  bleat  their  last  cries,   the  sound  like  shards  of  glass  in  cujo’s  decomposing  brain.          he  will  steal  the  wavering  mews  from  their  mouths  and  snap  their  tendons  like  wires.

the  dark  of  the  sheep  pen  envelops  him.
