I don’t typically work with shaped beads, but while looking for beads for my Rick Rack Flower headbands, I sorted through my semi glazed beads and found these cute Miyuki Peanut beads!!! I’m not even sure how they ended up in my stash but I was intrigued enough and made my newest earrings combining galvanised size 11/0 and 15/0 Miyuki seed beads to bezel around an 8mm Preciosa Vitrail coloured chatons. I’m really pleased with how beautifully they have turned out even though they are one of my simplest makes! This led me to wonder if any of you have used peanut beads in your work? Love making these Rick Rack Flowers! Again to be worn on a headband but the tab in the back allows you to wear it on a rope as a pendant! Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been learning, playing and experimenting with different bead stitches as well as learning bead-embroidery! This bracelet is one of a few pieces that I have actually finished and am happy to share with you!
