It’s been quite some time since I created a handmade book with direction from Ali Manning at Vintage Page Designs - but I’m excited to share my latest which I just finished today! Please excuse the crummy photos - I find it rather tricky to get proper photos of my handmade books. You really need to see it in person and handle it yourself to fully appreciate all the details. Anyway, this one was based on Ali’s “Vintage Travel Journal” project and it’s a lovely, chunky book (that’s going to be even more chunky when I add all the bits and bobs from an upcoming trip). The only “new” item I purchased was a secondhand book so I could repurpose the cover - everything else came from my existing stash. And I got to punch rivets for the first time! Such a fun and creative exercise - I love my wee book, and I’m looking forward to filling it with travel memories.
