remembering that time I was looking for a monwinn compilation and the only good one I could find had supercorp stuff in it so I watched it anyways cuz I was desperate for attention.
So like, one of the clips theyd chosen was when Lena invites both Kara AND supergirl to her party and Kara inhales deeply and this creator added a little note that was like Kara's inner monologue or wtv and it was like "omg she invited me to a party! Is this a date? Bla bla bla etc"
what. DUDE SHE JUST BREATHED???? AND EITHER WAY IF I WAS HER ID BE LOSING MY SHIT BECAUSE WHAT
Hammer Time
you know when you're about to hit yourself with a hammer - just milliseconds before steel strikes flesh and bone - how you become fully aware you're about to do something you'll regret?
you know it's about to happen, that you're about to be the cause of your own lingering suffering, yet you also know there's nothing you can do to stop it
it's like a horror scene, stretching that moment across time, amping up the tension and dread
then it happens, just as you knew it would. bam
thank goodness instinct and reflex are faster than the conscious mind, because otherwise the humble hammer would be the number one cause of smooshed thumb-bone syndrome
