"huh-" you mumble, startled at the sight before you. "HELLO MY BUDDING RAY OF SUNSHINE, HOW- oh... you don't look so good Y/N, what on earth has you so depleted?" Caine greets then interrupts himself gazing up and down and taking you disheveled state in. You sigh once more "Hey love... just feelin a lil tired, I'll be fine just need a nap I think..." You slowly begin to walk over to your bed. Caine looks at you as if you had just told a complete lie, maybe you have, maybe you haven't however, you don't get to decide which one it is before- "Y/N come here." Caine demands in a tone that hints at his concern. "huh-" You once again mumble. You become startled as you hear the familiar snap of Caine's fingers as you are teleported onto Caine's lap while he rests upon your bed, wrapping his arms around you and huffing. "Silly silly bumble bee! You should know that I pay more attention than you realise." Caine sighs slowly shaking his head as he lectures you. You breath in "I'm sorry Caine... I didn't mean to upset you." You apologise, guilty that you thought he would ignore your needs. "GOOD, because you haven't." Caine says matter-of-factly. You look at him sitting behind you with a look of utter confusion, Caine quirks his head in response before verbally asking. "What? Did I say something funny honey?" "Caine..." You once again sigh for the millionth time today. "Yes?-" "Why are you so weird." You interrupt Caine in a tone that reflects how emotionally unavailable you feel at the current moment. You huff as your head begins to buzz with the familiar ache. You grumble slightly, you had almost forgotten that you had helped Caine create more 'human sensations' like headaches to be simulated in the digital circus. You stuff your face into Caine's chest in hopes to block out the light abusing your eyes. Caine notices this. "Another headache sunshine? You needn't worry, I shall fix this in a jiffy." Caine whispers and proceeds to once again snap his fingers to switch of the lights as your body relaxes in his hold. You sigh in relief as you gently relax, Caine shifts you slightly in his grasp so you lay more while snuggling into you more and breathing in your scent (can he even do that?). Caine then pulls your fluffiest blanket on top of the both of you, his silent way of telling you to rest. He doesn't normally silently communicate like this, usually its loud and flashy. However, its moments like this that remind you not only that Caine does really listen and care, but that you really do just adore him entirely. As you fall asleep, you are reminded of how lucky you are, Caine kisses your forehead, stroking your hair gently as you let go of the day's woes.
