Wounded Heart: Never Again
Sure enough the messenger's threats had backbone to it. As he stood by the tree, Kyo witnessed the forces amassing themselves near the shore, set forth on their objective. "They never learn do they?..." The words of anticipation passed his annoyed lips and he griped his weapon, the only companion in this fight. Heading off to meet this latest force head on, the warrior soon kicked off the hillock into the fray.
Their attacks seemed different this time. Kyo thought of this as he waded through he field of directed hatred. It seemed that their priorities had changed, and they focused their attacks upon the keyblade warrior himself! "Tch..." Kyo gritted his teeth in annoyance of this seemingly fruitless farce by the enemy. Kyo continued to cut their numbers down like before. Every move, had a purpose. Every turn of his blade had a target. Every parry a guaranteed kill. Kyo soon found himself in the brunt of the enemy lines. His assumptions were correct, they were no longer interested on the kingdom at the moment, they wanted him! He continued his assault. This was his chance to push the lines back! Their attacks seemed less deliberate to harm him but more to bide time. The forces surrounded Kyo as he momentary ceased his assault. He stood looking around him. "What are they waiting for...."
"So you're the warrior would decapitated my son huh?" A commanding tone called from the ranks. A heavy man, carrying a mystic blade and bearing runes etched in his lash came to Kyo. "Envinco I assume?" The warrior turned his focus upon the leader. "Yes that is what they call me. you declined my generous offer it seems." Kyo glared at the being infront of him. This was his chance, if he could defeat this one man perhaps the others would flee. "You said you would make me bleed boy? Then let me see this power!" Within a blink of an eye Envinco had made a mad dash for Kyo.
Stepping back enough to deflect the blade away from his neck, Kyo barely was able to react to the blow of this man. He had been exhausted from the never ceasing battles before hand. A swift and sharp pain came from his gut however. The mad conqueror had delivered a rib crushing blow to the warrior sending him flying back, coughing blood. 'Damn....he's fast...not to mention I think these battles are starting to take their toll on me..." Kyo gritted his teeth. The Mark will repair the minor injuries. He did not have the option to lose. Wiping the blood from his mouth Kyo soon stood back up to face his enemy. "So you would still stand against me boy?" Kyo started towards him in defiance. "How foolish! Then come boy I shall send you to your petty "king"!" Sparks where exchanged from the blades. The clangs ringing from the fight of the clashing souls.
The same feint came once more. This time Kyo was ready. 'Right! there's my opening!" Kyo sacrificed his defense allowing the blade to gaze his side. The invading conqueror threw his wild punch however Kyo rolled aside the blow and delivered a melee of his own to Envinco's nose. He shifted his momentum to his left knee as it made contact to his face and pushed himself away to gain back ground. Kyo kicked forward and quickly stabbed the man in his heart. It would seem the battle was over....but....'Wait why is there no blood?..." The beast of a man picked Kyo up by the neck and threw him and his blade into a wall. "Nice try boy... yet you see Gods don't bleed." Kyo spat the blood from his mouth and started his attack again. Striking him fatally several times. Yet each time ended the same. The monster countered with ease and threw the warrior about like a ragdoll. Kyo laid upon the ground...struggling to bring himself up again. How was this possible? Soon he saw the answer...this leader did not care about any of his men. For each time he was struck down he was leeching the life of his men. The shore looked more like a macabre painting now. The soldiers seemed to have tried to escape their fates but to no avail. "So this is the power of so called "Deathsbane"? I am not impressed. It would seem you do not know your place boy." The man crushed Kyo's hand as he tried to reach for his blade. A yelp of pain came from his mouth interrupted by a flurry of blows by the beast of a leader. "And this is the blade that can kill gods?...It couldn't even scratch me...How pathetic..." Envinco gripped the weakened Kyo by his hair and dragged him to the hillock pinning him tot he tree. "Its a shame I was hoping to keep you alive...no matter...and don't worry about your precious king, when she returns...and we are done with this speck of land you call a kingdom....Me and my men be sure to take care of her after we break her." The snide grin he wore as the slithery words escaped his mouth filled Kyo's stomach with hate. Kyo spat blood into his enemies face. "...I..ll......k...ill...you..bas...tard...." The walking force seemed to chuckle at this attempt. "Oh no my boy..." The blade pierced Kyo's heart quickly as blood came forth from his mouth. Envinco started leave the hillock to signal his troops to advance. as he pulled a flare out. "And now this is start of a new era for this land. One ruled by me, Envinco, the Subjugater." A twisted laugh came from his mouth as he thought victory was his. 'Is this it? Is this how I am....another failure....NO!' Weakly the pinned Kyo reached for his blade buried in his chest. 'There's still something I want to tell her.' Power flowed where blood once flowed. Kyo would not give in so easily. 'Until I see her again....I can't die!' "hnng....RRRRRRAAAAAAAGGHHH!" Envinco heard this disturbance by the warrior. "Struggle as you might you-" A swift and brutal blow was delivered by the man casting his enemy from the hillock. Kyo's eyes were different. This was not the same adversary Envico was aware of. "So you are not dead yet are you boy?"
The silver eyed man glared at the monster of a human in front of him. "You will never..." Envinco began his assault onto the man, but to no avail as his was parried effortlessly by both blade and evasion. "Lay a finger..." His eyes see all. He saw the true source of his power. A primal heartless had been welcomed into Envinco's heart. Allowing him to rejuvenate near instantly. To win Kyo would only need to severe the connection between Envinco and the Primal Heartless. However something the man said did not want Kyo to just win. He wanted to to break this man. The leader was angered and charged and laid his wieght onto his weapon and fist. Both were easily held by Kyo's hand and blade. "On HER!" Determination mixed with a hint of rage at the threat filled his eyes as six golden wings spread from his back. Shoving Envinco back, Kyo began his counter assault. A flurry of blows rained upon his prey. He would keep his promise, no matter the cost! The battle was a slaughter! Envinco who had the advantage previously had continued to attempt to harm the man. Their roles reversed. The leader's troops were witnessing the battle and stood in awe. as if watching Gods do battle. "YOU LITTLE RUNT! YOU CANNOT KILL ME, HE WHO HAS OVER 10,000 LIVES!" The heartless was slowly starting to take over the conqueror's soul. His blows while strong were wild and easy to read, this plus the boost effect of Kyo's current state, this was little more than a slaughter. The blade clashed. A cold and deathly glare came from the embodiment of hope. His blade started to shine bright. "Then I will just have to butcher you 13,000 times Subjugater." It was then countless keyweapons spawned around in the air. Kyo mashed his opponents face into the dirt and then tossed him into the air. "This ends now Envinco." Kyo dashed through him with his blade leaving it in mid air before gripping a lance and piercing him several times, followed by the lancer being fired from a bow, followed by several more shots. He then wielded two wands and cast several decimating spells upon his foe. that leveled the field infront of the shore. A series of blows from countless weapons followed before Envinco came crashing down back to the earth below. battered and bloody, Envinco held his cursed blade to deflect the 13,000th blow. Kyo gripped Ultima and charged the energy within as he came flying down to his enemy. Envinco stood waiting Kyo, was was seen more like a force of nature than a man. The light looks as if it were a bright star in the darkest night. "AHHHHHHHH!" The cursed blade met the Blade of Harmony. "ULTIMA!" The energy was released as the enemy and his weapon broke. The enemy of the free people of Camelot had been wiped from existence. The enemy army had been caught in the blast and had been halved. "RETREAT FOR NOW! OUR LEADER HAS FALLEN! A voice of a soldier ,who glared at Kyo, cried out. The silver eyes of the warrior watched as the last of the men left the ships were destroyed so they would not escape. However the Harmonic Seraphimn stood by the tree as the day past the effects wore off and Kyo fell to one knee. Heaving heavily. 'Hah.....ha...." The Mark's power had been nearly spent in that burst of otherworldly power. He would have to rest for a weeks time before being in fight shape again. Gritting his teeth Kyo growled. "No....the enemy is still out there....the look in that ones eyes..." He knew they would come back soon for vengeance. Kyo had to be ready. He had to defend her home. Kyo donned something he had not worn in ages, his armor. The silver and golden plates of magical material covered his frame. As he stood on top of the hillock awaiting what seemed to be his last battle. It was only a mere 32 hours before the new leader of the armies arrived. It turned out to be the bastard child of Envinco come to finish what his father had started. The armies were twisted in some manner. Perhaps the heartless in Envinco had transferred its twisted hatred into them. Their numbers darkened the horizon. Kyo knew what they craved. They would not claim him as easily as they hoped. Kyo slowly descended from the hillock and marched towards his fate. Win or lose, he would not stray from his path. He had a promise to keep. The twisted son, eyes filled with hatred cried out an horrible shrill as he commanded his forces to attack. Kyo drew two blades in his hands leaving Ultima as a last resort. He could feel the magical energy working overtime in his body. Burning and degrading his insides. The sounds of the armies were closing in. Kyo kicked forward to meet them. They cried out in unified rage as Kyo did the same! The crashing of armor and blades met. The warrior surprising still holding fervor continued to pave a way through the ranks. Then the captain, the bastard son, came wielding a crude hammer crashing through even his own men. He clearly meant to put an end to this now and continue his father's conquest. Kyo was too focused on the torrent of attacks coming upon him that he did not see the attack coming until it was too late. A crack came from his side, three broken ribs and hemorrhaging as the wield bought himself up to his feet as he saw a follow up from this menace. Deflecting the blows with the blades as best he could from both the captain and the forces around him. The hammer came crashing down upon the blades and shattered them. Kyo took this chance and leaped forward into the mass infront of him and stabbed the sharp end of the hilt into the eye of the captain carving out his eye before he threw Kyo to the side to the ground and brought the hammer down on his skull. The ringing was intense. Concussed Kyo struggled to his feet. Half of the helmet fell off. Kyo gripped his blade, Ultima as the mass came to finish. Adrenaline flowed into his ridden body as the he and the captain exchanged blows each seeking each others end. The smaller fry came in to seek their glory but as they did they were ended by either of the two. The two a swirling tornado of violence. Each of their ambitions were pitted against each other. Each inflicting horrible wounded upon each other. There was a opening between the swings from this whirlwind of hate and malice. He could end the ambition here! Kyo had to seize this chance! The hammer swing had missed its next mark as Kyo advanced and took of the head of the captain. However this small as two spears impaled the swordsman. Pushing him closer and closer towards the hillock. Only the right spear penetrated the armor into the right shoulder. The other dented the already brutally beaten chest-plate. Kyo screamed in both pain and determination as he cast the left spear to the side and killed the spearman. The second spear he chose to pull it in to a clean wound. More importantly closer to his prey before ending him too. Nobody knows how long this battle had ranged. Shattered keyweapons laid across the fields with numerous bodies of the heartless infested army. Only a handful remained and Kyo...little more than a corpse. He was only able to see through one eye. A strange grin wore upon his lips as he faced the odds.
The only thing keeping his body in one piece was his armor. Not to mention the rigamortis keeping some stability in his body. The scouts saw this man standing against this immeasurable odds. The enemy came at the man who weakly was still able to defeat them all. Kyo's sight was drawn to the scouts who had witnessed all of this. The warrior was unable to speak as his lung filled with blood. Drawing his blade he pointed at them as if stating a challenge. The scouts were terrified by this as they ran away, never to return to this land. After days of waiting it seemed the invasion was finally over. The man simply grinned as he coughed more blood from his lungs. His vision started to darken. His body started to go limp. His breating became heavy and wheezy. The blade was as more like a stand for him to remain upright. Still wearing that bittersweet smile he stood by the tree on the hillock. He thought about his promise. He was happy he was able to keep it to her. Suddenly a noise came from behind the hillock. Kyo heard this and readied himself. Barely even able to pull the blade from the ground, he dragged himself to the noise. The clopping was ceased and what sounded like a suit of armor gingerly walked towards the tree. Kyo's body was about to finally give, every fiber of his strength was focused on moving to this potential threat. Even if he survived, nothing short of a miracle would be able to save him now. As he rounded the corner his hazed over, tired eye widened upon the source of the noise.....
