We’ve been busy with our magical practice IRL.

Turns out, looking by out for two other demigods with little magical past experiences can be hard work :(

Especially considering we’ve recently discovered that one of them is the subject of a prophecy that me and the other are also a part of.

Not to mention the weird premonitions we’ve been getting…

We’ll be fine though. Just been a bit offline due to tiredness. Rest assured, we’re still here. Keeping an eye on things.

The ideology of blood status itself, is complicated and unexplained. The poor world building of JKR does not help when asking this question. There isn't really a determination of what grants magical power. It's supposedly by bloodline, but then Muggleborns and Squibs happen, and then there's halfbloods and it's so overcomplicated.

In terms of how it works as a system of judgement, I personally see more traits of racism. Because not all purebloods are well off and magically gifted, and not all muggleborns or halfbloods are considered un-skilled, or struggling with magic.

For example, the Weasleys are not considered a well off family; some members struggle with certain forms of magic, monetarily they aren't the best, and they aren't considered as pure due to their Muggleborn association, "Blood traitor." At the same time a "half-blood" is the Chosen One and is adored by the magical universe with Harry. Then there's Lily and Hermione, who were Muggleborn and considered the brightest witches of their age. However, there's still shame thrown at all 3 of those characters, much more to Lily and Hermione. However, those with pure blood, even as poor or unmagically skilled, have a small amount of privilege. And at the same time, those who are muggleborn, regardless of magical ability, are targeted and ostracized.

However, in terms of how it actually functions and how we are shown how being a pureblood or a muggleborn affects your status in the Wizarding World, it resembles closer to a class system. The most elite purebloods are at the top regarding political and social power, then it going down to halfbloods and muggleborns in this large mix of a middle-class.

So while the Wizarding World splits people up like racism, the magical system itself functions as a class system.
