I'm not gonna dive TOO much into their biology in my au. But long story short thingas have everything and can swap it out like Lego bricks or a Swiss army knife. And fairies can do whatever they want. Rayman wanted to try something different bc while it's rare, he becomes a freak every now and then in my au.

I think it might be compounded by the fact Iskandar is a very special lil guy with a magic pet wolf. Like the combination of all these qualities makes it feel like he's about to say some "I blinked my mismatched orbs--one silver eye, one violet eye--and tossed my waist length Baja Blast colored hair over one shoulder before doing 20 consecutive backflips. I wish my boobs weren't so big, then I could do 50" shit.

EDIT: oh apparently this is a common complaint, not just with Iskandar but with ADB protagonists in general. Chronic main character syndrome. I didn't really notice it with Talos in the NL books as I was reading them, but in hindsight: yeah, our boy is a Primarchs favorite, has magical powers, a special sword, drops ~cool badass one-liners~ while killing people, etc.
