Meet: @zeus_stav 🇦🇺 I’ve been obese my whole life until I saw a person on IG going through a transformation and for whatever reason it hit me like a ton of bricks and 2.5 years on I have lost 140 kg (310 lbs) naturally and truth be said I do still struggle on a daily basis but having @wlstories community inspires me to keep going as you see others journeys and it keeps you going let alone you learn other training techniques and healthier eating from others ,all I want in life now is to help my kids to be healthy and happy and if it helps anybody else along the way then not much more I can ask for & I have still long road ahead to lose another 15-20kg then worry about the loose skin consequences then but for now it’s all about me as I need to put my health first before I can lead others as I have learnt you need to love yourself or you won’t change your ways. ________________ How has the Wlstories community influenced your journey? Meet: @bypassed_jeff_wlsjourney_ My weight loss journey started the same as many. We tried for years to lose the same 50 to 60 lbs. Then hit a wall and then gain back even more. After my son came along I knew that this needed to be taken seriously. I couldn't imagine not being there for him and my wife. That is when I took the first step and went to a wls presentation. The info scared me yet the thought of not being there for my family scared me more. In the spring of 2017 I started my progress and then Dec 2017 I had RNY Gastric bypass surgery. This would forever change me. Now almost 2 years post opt I am down 220lbs and literally living my best life. I am able to do anything I want. I have picked up running as a hobby and did a half marathon in March. It has truly been an amazing and life changing experience. Starting Tip: Keep moving forward. You will have easy days and have hard days. But the most important part is to keep pushing. This tool we have works as hard as you do. Our very first guy was posted on @wlbeginning !!!! SHOW SOME LOVE SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGEMENT IN POST COMMENTS!!!! Meet: @mikerobertbauer and this is my beginning; so back in 2012 I was golfing with friends and I went into cardiac arrest and with the help of my friends and a emt they saved my life until paramedics came. I was paddled back to life and air lifted to a hospital in Peoria. I was in a medically induced coma for 3 days. I woke up not remembering anything and had to be told everything. The doctors warned my family and my girlfriend that I may never be the same. I got released and went to cardiologists in Chicago. I went under surgery and they were able to recreate what happened to me and found out I had Wolffe-Parkinson-White syndrome. It's an extra electrical pathway in my heart. They ablated the pathway and I'm lucky to be alive. That girlfriend turned into my wife and her son is my son and we also have a 2yr old boy as well.
