find yourself a guy friend who carries your shopping bags for you
Bro…why can’t I just be friends with guys without them being so fucking obvious they like me
I literally was like “yeah I have a boyfriend” and he was like “no you don’t I killed him” BRO WE HAVE ONLY HUNG OUT 3 TIMES WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT
And someone drove by us, backed up, asked for my number and I said I have a boyfriend and then left and he was very obviously upset that guy asked for my number
And I had to get his mom to drive me home and he got out of the car with me and hugged me
The thing is I met him through my youth group and he’s really nice so I don’t want to stop being friends with him but come on bro lock in
Anyway this was us at a gas station after tbe rest of the youth group left the function
Also when we were hanging out he was constantly taking pictures of me and also not making eyecontact whatsoever like bro I’m wearing a baggy ass shirt too why do you have a boner
Help what do I do though because I really like our friend group but also my boyfriend CANNOT find out that we’re friends he would be so upset and definitely kill him on sight
Anyway, random teacher update: Today the teacher asked my friend when he's going to ask me out.
I still genuinely cannot comprehend what about me walking into class with my FRIEND & talking to him before the bell rings sets off “romantic” alarm bells.
I guess because I follow him around often?? But even then, I like following my friends around in the same way a duckling likes to follow its mother around. It’s nothing romantic? I don’t see how it could be? Doesn’t everyone tag along w/ their friends like that??
Like, if I was latching onto him, or even holding his hand (the example I gave last time), I’d at least understand WHY he thought we should date. At most, on RARE occasions I lean on his chair, but even then, I try to give him a decent amount of personal space.
Why is hanging out with the opposite sex always equivalent to “oh they like-like each other”? Why can’t I like talking to my friend without getting accused of having a crush on him? It’s frustrating.
Especially b/c there are PLENTY of (somewhat) valid reasons that would make someone think I have a crush on him. As an aromantic person, I'm aware sometimes the way I treat my friends is a little "suspicious". I'm close with a lot of my friends and I see how someone could confuse that with romantic attraction, but the "line" between just friends and having a crush in this scenario is seeing us walking together & talk? What?

Male friendships have all the screaming and yelling with none of the doing each other's hair and nails.
Writing Male Friendships
Being a female writer trying to write male friendships is hard. I have no way of knowing what the dynamic is like first hand so I need to look at stories that feature male friendships and brotherhood. Here are some examples I found. If you have other suggestions, let me know.
