Mini-review:
I didn't think the original movie needed a sequel at all, but I stand corrected, cause I actually enjoyed this one even more. It goes straight to the point from the first scene and never slows down the pace. Sure, the setup kind of retcons some stuff, but the movie tries to explain it as well as it can, and it made enough sense for me. Mainly, because Kathryn Newton proves to be a co-lead worthy of Samara Weaving, who remains the ultimate scream queen of our times. The rich a**holes that make up the supporting cast are just as fun as those in the first movie, and seeing Sarah Michelle Gellar back in full form alone already made this sequel worth it. (I'm still mad as hell about the cancelled Buffy reboot, btw). All in all, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come is a surprisingly good sequel.

Not every success story needs a shadow. FFS!
I hate rip-offs. Especially in creative industries. As an individual who likes to occasionally write on the weekends, it's a really difficult thing to do to write from scratch. To deliberately abstain from popular cultural moments, to avoid being inspired by others.
Of course, I think too much time has passed for us to be 100% original but we can do our best still to achieve it, when we begin with the right intentions.
Something that hasn't begun with the right intentions is the film "They will kill you". This is obviously a tacky perversion of the Ready or Not film franchise. I have seen Ready or not 1 and 2 and recommend watching both!
I think the unexpected fun that we as the audience experienced watching this film clearly led to potential franchise success for Samara Weaving's career.
Although I love Zazie Beetz and have loved her since seeing her in Deadpool 2, I can't support this film. I don't believe this film is genuine and produced for the love of film-making. I believe it was made in a desperate and lazy attempt to siphon the love Samara Weaving and everyone at Searchlight Pictures created.
Shame on Warner Bros. I hope to see Zazie Beetz’s career continue to flourish, but I for one will not be watching that piece of shit, unoriginal, plagiarised, probably weak-ass-plot based, should lose money film.
F* that. So tired of these fat cats that run studios thinking I'm a dummy and they can put whatever shit they want to in the cinema and I'm going to spend my hard earned money to watch it.
Go and trick, bamboozle, run amok someone else bozo.
