Tomb Raider Angel Of Darkness REimagination (Alternative timeline)
Teaser 2:
Title: "Lara Croft"
Rain had washed over Paris since morning, turning the streets of the 11th arrondissement into slick ribbons of gray. The Central Police at Directorate Rue Oberkampf loomed like a fortress against the overcast sky.
Outside, Autumn air was sharp with sleet; restless journalists pressed forward, microphones and cameras gleaming like weapons.
Questions cut the air:
“is it true the Monstrum struck again?”
“seventeen dead in four nights, Commissioner!”
“are riots from two days ago related?”
“rumors there’s a suspect, and is foreign. Can you confirm?”
The glass doors swung open. Lars G.Mirpoix; founder of the Interpol Special Investigation Section, emerged, his aging figure composed in his dark overcoat, sight glasses over his thinning gray hair. To his right, Philip Hugo, advisor to the Vice–Head of Parisian Security, smirked thinly. Behind them, Jérémie Orlick, head of the 11th main police center, carried the weight of his office in his broad shoulders.
Mirpoix raised his hands, and silence fell. “Paris bleeds,” he began. “Seventeen victims in four days; and tonight, I come before you with a name.”
The reporters erupted again, but Mirpoix’s voice cut through: “a woman. A foreign national. once connected to the late Professor Werner Von Croy; a world renowned archeologist, whose body lies among the Monstrum’s latest victims. Her name… Lara Croft.”
Gasps rippled through the crowd.
Then an inquiry was heard among the journalist
"Do you have proof of this, Commissioner?"
Jérémie stepped in, answering: “An eyewitness placed her leaving the professor’s residence within the critical window. The description fits her profile.”
The press exploded again; shouts battered the steps:
"Lady Croft? Countess of Abingdon?"
"Is she in Paris now?"
Mirpoix’s eyes narrowed like a blade slipping between ribs. “Unless she proves her absence in the thirty hours surrounding his death, she will be considered a primary suspect in the Monstrum killings.”
Chaos erupted, cameras flashed, questions tumbled, rain hammered umbrellas;and Commissaire Mirpoix endured it all, calm, composed, untouchable. Then, with a nod, he and the two other men retreated into the Directorate’s stone maw, leaving the storm behind.
Far from the frenzy, in a cramped office, a radio hummed with static. Raphael Marcherelli listened as her name was carried and twisted by the press;he didn’t flinch. The door creaked. Lisa Hugo stepped inside, Léo Dominique close behind, a folder tucked under his arm. “You were right, Captain,” she said. “It’s Gunderson; the AGENCY leader. He’s planning to invade the Louvre.”
Raphael’s eyes lifted. “Then it’s time to stop him.”
In the dim quiet of his study, Jean-Yves stood over the telephone, the distant cries of his newborn child threading through the silence. The news from the TV channel lingered in the walls and ceiling like fragments of a truth already breaking apart. He dialed once, then again, listening to the hollow ringing stretch toward doubt; until, at last, the line caught and a familiar voice answered, low and guarded. For a moment he could not speak. Then, very softly, as though the words themselves might carry danger, he said only,
“Lara… it’s me Jean. VonCroy is dead and they want you for his murder.”
Trust is fragile. Betrayal is certain. The game is survival. Every ally is a risk, every secret a weapon; to survive the Monstrum, Lara must face more than shadows.
When Von Croy’s murder makes Lara Croft the prime suspect, she must fight not only for her freedom, but for the truth buried beneath the Monstrum killings.Alongside Kurtis Trent, Louis Bouchard, and—on the other side of the law;the mysterious young detective Cadol Foseca, as well as Interpol’s blacklisted CRS officer Raphael within the Special Interpol Investigation Squad, they uncovers facts that lead deep into the Cabal’s hidden war ; a war of betrayal, politics, and ancient power.
Time is running out, allies fall, enemies shift; and a single tape may expose everything… even at the cost of those they cannot afford to lose.
