A general opinion of their relationship: A sweet Aunt/Niece relationship and Aimee absolutely adores and looks up to Zee.

“Y’know...” John says, creaking open the door of her dressing room as he steps inside ( he obviously by-passed the venue security with a little help of magic ), “I’ll admit I’m a bit sore ye didn’t use me for one of your little stage tricks, it’s not often I come out and see a show.”

“Sorry fer all the fuss, makin’ ye come all the way ‘round here from the states, like." Chas says, climbing back into the cab after tucking her luggage away in the trunk. He buckles his seat belt, glancing at her through the rear view with an underlying contempt - not at her - but with the bastard involving them. Another bloody situation where he’s left to pick up his mate’s slack, while not even knowing what the hell is going on. 

“It’s John---never friggin’ tells me anythin’, ‘cept what to do. So he says, ‘Listen, mate, another favor, call Zee if I don’t come back tomorrow. You remember her, don’t you? An absolute light, she is. If anyone can save me arse, it’s her.’ So I did, of course with it bein’ a bloody international call, too. An’ now we’ve gotta go all the way across town.”

Who is the restless sleeper? Ususally Dick but it can be both at times

Who eats cereal for dinner? Dick ‘i can’t even make a pb&j’ Grayson

Who wears odd socks? also Dick

Who reads more? Babs

Who prefers a bath over a shower? Babs

Who can knit? Babs is any of them

Who has the weirder laugh? Dick in general, Babs’s is worse when you make her fucking cackle

Who gets more jealous? Probably Babs? Neither of them are really that much of a jealous type

Who sleeps with a teddy bear? Dick tbh

Who still uses internet explorer? Babs makes everyone use Chrome

Who is the most sentimental? Dick 

Who can play an instrument? Probably Babs but i doubt either of them can really do that anymore

Who has the worst sense of direction? Dick needs google maps to function

Who cooks breakfast? Babs, cause we established Dick can’t cook

Nick had been watching them both since he’d come back. Watching them like a hawk, pulling all of the strings that he could to keep them together. To keep them in his grasp. He couldn’t let them drift apart anymore. And he couldn’t let them get away from him.

He was planning on biding his time, not showing himself until later. At least, not showing himself until the time was right and he could use them the way that he had wanted to. So that he could have them, and the Books, and everything he deserved.

But he couldn’t wait any longer. He couldn’t stand just watching them. Biding his time and watching them be more and less than he wanted them to be.

He waited until they were alone together, and then he leapt like a panther. Used one of Zee’s old tricks--
