okay so I thought that the ‘guilty dog’ line in guilty love was Klavier calling criminals dogs.
“I was going to have a SALTY DOG with you
But now I’m thirsty for a GUILTY DOG”
But from consulting the tomes (AA wiki page for turnabout academy):
“The 1st floor hallway contains a poster advertising "Guilty Dogs" with a picture of a hot dog. This is a reference to Turnabout Reminiscence, where a 13 year-old Franziska von Karma, unimpressed by the slogan of the hot dogs sold from a vending machine in the District Court ("When you're in hot water, you might need a hot dog" - Winston Payne entry in a public contest to choose a slogan), came up with the arguably equally poor replacement:
"If you leave matters in a Von Karma's hands, everyone in court will be found guilty dogs!"”
so, assuming the name of the hot dogs was changed (and that Themis copied the names of the district court hot dogs? or they have the same caterer?) this implies that:
A) Franziska submitted this phrase, possibly demanding a re-do of the competition and then winning it
And
B) international rockstar prosecutor Klavier Gavin is a fan of the district court hot dogs, enough so to reference them in a song
There is something BLATANTLY homoerotic about "Or better yet, go ask Herr Forehead!" In Love Love Guilty.
First of all, this was clearly an IMPROV LYRIC. we can deduce this because 1. It doesn't properly flow with the rest of the song and 2. He's only known Apollo for like. 2 months Max at this point.
("But what if it's a new song?" IT'S NOT. Klavier references the song in your first introduction to him ("ask the wind, fräulein, I'll be riding on it!"))
So, klavier met apollo, referenced his hit song which he didn't understand, and then decided to SLIP IN A LINE ABOUT HIM. INTO HIS HIT SONG. THAT MILLIONS KNOW.
And apollo doesn't even know about this because SOMEONE GOT MURDERED THAT SAME NIGHT. God i fucking LOVE turnabout serenade
@guilty-love
And what could make a rough morning 'even rougher', when the literal epitome of cheery sunshine came passing by.
"Mr. Gavin!! Good morning," the smiley secretary greeted, her bouncing steps coming to a halt before the doorway. "Isn't it just such a wonderful day? Lots of busy-work to focus on -- my favorite kind of day! How about you?"
I have so many thoughts about this. So so many. Anyway well done name dropping your boyfriend in your song Klav. He's so fucking whipped it's so so funny.
But like, canon the gavineers know who of Apollo. Do you think this sounds insane to them? Do they understand? Wait DO THEY THINK ITS DARYAN!????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FUCKING GAVINEERS RPF WRITERS LOSING THEIR MINDS THAT THEY THINK KLAV JUST NAME DROPPED A NICK NAME FOR DARYAN BUT IN REALLY ITS JUST THIS NERDY AUTISTIC DEFENSE ATTORNEY HE MET AND BECAME COMPLETELY INFATUATED WITH????! SCREAMING
