Lucy Bell did appreciate that Gabriel Jones, a Guild Hunter, managed to find her where she was trapped in the alien underground beneath Illusion Town. Unfortunately he had to leave almost the very moment he carried her out of the caverns, leaving Lucy to the mercy of the emergency medical responders and their drugs. No one believes her story of being drugged and kidnapped from the wedding reception of her ex and her friend. By the time Gabriel gets back to Illusion Town, now the Guild boss for a new Guild office, Lucy is no longer a top-rated weather channeler. Now she's a tour bus driver/operator who makes her money through tips and a tiny residual from the sale of replica dust bunnies, inspired by Otis, Lucy's dust bunny companion who would bring her pizza during her time trapped in the underground room. Gabriel and Lucy begin working together to discover a missing artifact from the Arcane Society "museum" found recently. The Guild contract should help restore her reputation, or at least begin the restoration. More attacks on both Lucy and Gabriel have them diving into the mystery of her kidnapping. It has been a long five years since the last visit to Harmony and, boy, have I missed that universe. As always the reader is given a wide mixture of genres (must drive the people at the publishing company who designate a book's genre nuts!): paranormal talents, mystery, romance, and science fiction. Strong characters of all types are found within these pages, without a doubt. That is a hallmark of a story from Jayne, no matter what name she writes under. However I do wish that we could've had more detail, more show and less tell, about Lucy's fall from grace and her experience in the hospital. Yes, it would've plumped up the book, but I certainly wouldn't have complained. There was nothing that I felt should've been cut, just a lot added to heightened the enjoyment. I still loved the story, I just believe we were a bit short-changed. Certain scenes and moments deserved expansion. 4.5 out of 5

I’m using 5* Black Tea, 4* Milk, 2* Moon Cake, 0* Gyoza, and 2* Brownie (i know he’s bad but i don’t think i have anything better) I also have 3* Mango Pudding, 2* Vodka, 1* Foie Gras, and 3* Tom Yum. What should I change?
