SHORT STORY - Part 2 ( What a delightful situation!)
Himaye stepped out with the confidence of a lion cub, knowing she had done her best. She focused on the eyes that had been watching her before she entered the cabin. With gentle movements, she searched for something familiar. She rolled her eyes around, hoping to find the fish, but had no luck. However, her heart longed for her favorite filter coffee.
As she walked, she moved slowly and took in the signboards around her. She could sense her favourite snack sizzling in hot oil in a wok nearby. The aroma of her beloved coffee filled the air, and she could already guess the right amount of dairy and caffeine in it just by the smell.
She watched people chatting by the cafe tables, and they even knew how to laugh without any baggage in their hearts. That truly surprised her. Himaye can understand that people are different from cabins to cafes. That gave her hope that she could make her own comfort circle here. "HERE"? Yes, she was just waiting for her offer letter, that's it. She ordered a strong filter coffee, half sugar and a nice medu vadai, a snack which is made of white lentil. To make it more tasty, we can add onions, black pepper corns, curry leaves, salt ( of course ) and green chilli.
People prefer chutney and sambar for dips, but our cub loves it raw, no extra dramas. She chose a nice plate leveled banana leaf to mount her vadais on. A cup with three-quarters of coffee as her heart, but the rest was covered by the foam, which made her a little irritated. The froth doesn't hesitate to draw a moustache on her lips. She had her delightful coffee sip by sip. Her wandering eyes didn't notice anything revolving around her; she didn't want to. She loved her snack too. Now she wants to leave the building, but something was in her mind. An unexplainable feeling that throbs in her heart, which holds her tight from leaving.
She kept silent for a moment and started admiring the flower pots in the pathway, which looked like a mini garden area beside the cafeteria. A medium height perfume factory tends to cross her like a wind that caught her nostrils and turned around. She happened to see a 23-year-old woman overdressed for a normal sunny day in an office. She smiled at Himaye, and Himaye gave her signature smile back with her glazed eyes. That caught her mind, she even thought that this woman was going to grab her place if she stepped into her department. Her intuition never lied to her.
"That is all? Why am I standing here?" she spoke to herself. Then a tall dusky-skinned man with a body full of protein with a decent amount of muscles, neck-length straight hair, a drained face with a gentle smile and a manly yet clement walk approached her. " First time here mam..?" A voice with a curious and tender touched her heart through her ears.
