I went to class six on Saturday and found a bunch of guava fruit. So I picked it and made it into a watermelon smoothie. It was fantastic and I can't wait for more. I love the fruit's perfectly yellow and round form.

One of the first dresses I wore to my very first official event with my husband was an off the shoulder bright yellow swing dress.

I have yet to find a more formal version, I wanted to wear something similar for our first navy birthday ball. Tradition and rituals are so very important to me. I want my life to reflect that aspect, albeit with slight modernization.

I recall hours pouring over Miss Manners and George Washington's primer. My girlhood was filled with highteas, hats, bows and frills well into highschool. I felt ashamed when others ceased doing the things we once loved, despite being in a conservative military town. I miss it but I am glad that as an adult, I've found other women that long for this simpler time as well.
