I have a question unrelated to the ask game about being a gryphon (don't know how to phrase that any better oops). What's it like? We have a headmate who is a gryphon too and they haven't been able to find very much about gryphon experiences, all good if you can't answer for any reason - Abyss
i totally hear you on there not being a lot of stuff about gryphons wrt alterhumanity. its dire out here!
that being said. i may not be able to help. although ive been a gryphon for about half of my life, i wasn't aware of it until just over 2 years ago! my experience was that i just turned into a gryphon once in catholic school mass. and that was that. and the second time (of current headmates) we just . turned into a. different. gryphon. in group therapy. again, that was that.
i’ve always had a special interest in mythical creatures so i suppose it stands to reason that we’ve had so many gryphons over the years, as well as a phoenix (dormant) and a pegasus (current)
my earliest phantom shifts were pointy ears, big ol' wings, claws, and a long gryphon tail in middle and high school. we can usually differentiate between which gryphon we are based on the length and floppiness of the ears.
a lot of the things we do already could be considered like, species affirming stuff i reckon? we really like salmon, so eating it feels very species. we also don't have a fear of heights, and outings to this cliffside trail in a state park nearby (or on the few times we've visited the chisos and rocky mountains) are also very satisfying. it just feels right to be high up!
if you have any more questions or just want to talk about being a gryphon, my asks and DMs are always open
i hope something good happens to you today!
