i, finally played dream daddy, went on two dates with every dad, then picked brian (bc of COURSE) and got the Good Ending
(i don’t. actually know how to get anything but the Good Ending but i guess i’ll. find out? when i keep replaying it?)
anyway my mission for now is to go on the rest of the dates and then i can make a proper judgment of the game as a whole, BUT, i’d just like to say that it’s some Prime Dad Content
like it’s just. it’s just so sweet. so... wholesome. wholesome dad dating content. it’s full of bad puns, dad jokes, lots of parenting and my god i just love the wonderful, amazing relationship you’ve got with amanda. she’s such a good kid and i love her
anyway it’s got a few hiccups here and there but it’s more than made up for in every way, the art is great, the writing is fantastic (the fucking PUNS), and the dads are extremely charming. some of the minigames are hard as hell (the BRIAN ONES IN PARTICULAR) but it almost feels like it’s on purpose. also references to other video games, like the pokemon battle and the goddamned ace attorney-like part.
anyway, case in point, it’s definitely a Good Game. the brian ending was.... mwah. excellent. definitely gonna be the dad of my heart. forever. i’ll see what i think about the rest later
