Beardson is one of the grossest people in the Nickverse. I was in a #groypette gc with him on twitter and he would always post about his disgusting kinks knowing a lot of the girls are young and impressionable. He is 37 years old and tries to grift off Nick's friendship so he can groom more girls.

At first I was entirely sympathetic towards everyone involved. Even though it was the consequence of atrociously poor OpSec, I tend to feel a pure distilled rage watching incels senselessly target women.

There's two things on my mind. Echoing what @lxxndria commented earlier, it's unfortunate to see the way Nick likes to recuse himself from commenting on or disavowing this glaringly wrong behavior from his own community. Really it would just take one word from him to quell this wave of harassment, and also establish a precedent. But he can't be bothered to do even that. It had me thinking about the difference between a gentleman, who stands up for women being targeted by other men, and someone who is just an incel-worm- a guy who abstains from protecting women out of a fear he'd look like a simp, or a white knight.

And secondly, regarding this "groypette question" debate - I've personally felt mostly neutral-positive towards groypettes, while having a tacit acknowledgement that many of them are mentally ill lowkey (Not trying to be cute when I say that just a genuine observation.)

They often have EDs, or romanticize domestic abuse, and I believe they're driven towards these incel-infested, predominantly male communities in search of attention and validation. Not all of them, but a lot of them.

And the concept of the "pickme" has been gnawing at me today. This feeling like, it's one thing to not take your own side, as a woman. Maybe you're passive. But it's another thing entirely, in my mind, to unite with the people who resent you and support them in their efforts. I was thinking how there's nothing much more contemptible than that.
