Easy Grilled Baby Octopus
It’s Tuesday; and I’m usually over long work hours and coming home to cook a hectic meal is out of the question!
This easy grilled octopus recipe is perfect for an appetiser with a glass of chilled white wine on days like these when all you want to do is sink into bath full of bubbles.
Ingredients
500g fresh baby octopus
olive oil
2 garlic cloves - roughly chopped
1 birds eye chilli - roughly chopped
Juice from 1 lemon or lime
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 tsp dried oregano
2 tsp chopped fresh parsley
Method
Clean octopus rinse, pat dry, slice each octopus in half and place in bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and add chopped garlic and chillies. Let it rest at room temperature, for 30 minutes.
Preheat a gas grill to medium-high heat.
Grill for 5-6 minutes per side, until charred.
Remove from heat and place in a bowl.
Drizzle with olive oil and add lemon/lime juice.
Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle some oregano and parsley on top.
