dark      hues      snap      onto      delicate      hazel.     fingertips      quick      to      drag      along      the      poster      taped      loosely      across      the      alleyway.      fingers      digging      under      glossy      paper      that      had      the      c4      printed.      if      he      wanted   ,     he      could      rip      it      -      really      put      on      the      theatrics!      but      something      kept      digits      from      tearing.          ❛❛          is      that      what      we’re      calling      it      these      days      ?          ❜❜          the      question      rings      to      mock.      face      contorting      into      fake      surprise.          ❛❛          well      dearie      ,      why      on      earth      come      back      ?      surely      your      prince      is      waiting.      &      we      wouldn’t      want      your      mother      to      find      you.          ❜❜

THERE ISN’T MUCH IN CANON so i am going to fall in love with myself and think about the top five moments my own mind has created for jessica.

jessica throws murder mystery parties around christmas. her parents never cared for her enough to be around during the holidays (her mom was there but also, more of a ghost of a woman, endlessly drifting, so jess had to design her own fun!). the week before christmas, her friends are invited over for a week-long murder mystery party! it’s something she does right up into her own age and, even when everything else in life feels faded and rough, this is the one thing that makes jessica happy still.

jess holding a gun to jack douglas. to explain the moment, jess has been in a messy little love triangle for a while and she snaps. blind with rage and certainly drunk, she appears on the doorstep of jack and mara’s house and threatens to kill the man. it doesn’t go well! she leaves forever that night, and he’s still alive, but the utter desperation and pain and the knowledge that, ultimately, jessica is willing to kill for love. it’s kinda beautiful.

JESS AND HER BOOK....jessica, at 74 years old, writes a book where she comes out! to everyone! openly! it’s the first time she’s ever used the word lesbian to describe herself and reading it, right there, next to her name. jessica stanley is a lesbian. there is nothing, nothing, in her life that fills her with such immediate joy and relief and fear. i’d say this is the happiest moment in her entire life! 

jessica dying as vamp!bella visits her. this is the first time she’s seen vamp!bella since she left forks, bella having to keep her distance so people don’t notice she’s stopped aging. jessica’s all old and shit and bella takes her hand and jess says “you’re still so beautiful” and bella says “you too” and it’s a beauty deeper than her skin and it means so much to her and i i i i i ..... i!!!!! jessica doesn’t die alone like she always thought she would she dies beside bella and knows a little part of her will live on with that woman forever.
