i actually really like discovery. the season finale for season 4 shows burnham putting the needs of her crew over her own grief, and its portrayed so emotionally, like you can SEE she's struggling to keep from falling to her knees and cowering away but she doesnt. dhes such a strong and empowering character that shows such emotion that i love.

what i like about the new star trek series' : they show more of the vulnerable sides of friendships / relationships and have tons of scenes where the characters just sit down and talk about their emotions & dynamics of the crew members on the ship which is heart warming and helps you relate to the characters on a more personal level
what i dislike about new star trek series' : they mostly stick to one general plotline for a season instead of exploring other plots and having new and exciting adventures happen every episode. while cool to have a very anticipating and cliff-hangey story, I WANT MORE UNIVERSE EXPLORATION! :((
