A flock of 200 sheep has been seized by Greek tax authorities and is to change hands in an electronic auction. The single-member First Instance Court in Grevena, West Macedonia, gave the green light for the forceful auctioning of the animals.
The sheep owner owes €3,848.59 to Social Security Fund and a check of 50 euros.
First price estimation for each sheep has been calculated at 60 euros.
Starting point for the flock is set at €6,000.
Until the auction takes place on February 27th, the breeder has been appointed as a guardian-keeper and responsible for not losing the flock.

Seventeen ancient archaeological treasures have been discovered in the house of a resident of the West Macedonian city of Grevena.
The Hellenic Police arrested the 49-year old owner of the home and confiscated among other items four vessels, the base of a marble pillar, a star-formed ornament, two stone mortars, a bracelet, part of metal safety pin, and a copper spearhead, all dating back to the Classical and Roman eras.
The investigation continues in order to determine when and how the priceless artifacts were obtained. The antiquities were immediately transferred to the Grevena Antiquities Ephorate.
