I'm so insane about the Beths being so angry at Rick for abandoning them even thought he's not their Rick.

Like this is the Rick that loved his family so much that he spent over half of his life hunting the man who murdered them. This is the Rick that has made a lot of genuine effort to be part of their life.

But that's the problem. He's not their Rick. Their father didn't love them enough to stay in their lives growing up. Their father abandoned them.

And they're still so angry about it. But their real dad is dead, in a dimension that they've completely abandoned. He's a corpse rotting in the Mr. Frundeled soil.

And you can't lash out at a corpse. You can't make a corpse hurt the way you've hurt. You can't get him to see just how much damage he's done.

So they lash out at Rick (C-137) because they need to be mad at someone, anyone. Someone needs to take responsibility; and since they can't lash out at their Rick, they'll go for the next best thing.
