This is a southbound Amtrak Floridian powering through Greencastle, Indiana. The line here is the Louisville & Nashville, former Monon.
I’ve pored over older maps looking to see what the foundations are just north of the bridge on which I’m standing (which carries S. County Road 200W) but cannot find anything as of yet.

Originally opened in the 1930s as Dixie’s Tourist Court. Transitioned into the Dixie Motel, Restaurant and Catering Service in the 1960s. Remained in business as Mrs. Gibble's Motel through the 1980s. Today, the property is called Mrs. Gibble's Restaurant and Candies. It is no longer a lodging site and the iconic MOTEL letters from the cottages are long gone.
Located in Greencastle, Pennsylvania.

This picture was about the time double-daily passenger service was restored on the Indianapolis line by President Barriger. The following year, red and gray diesels would silence the steam engines in passenger service.
Today walking the dog. I am tired and a little frustrated from not having a good nights sleep. Dreams, Pain and generally not comfortable last night. I fight with my C-PAP the dog jumps up and stands on my at 3 AM... Dreams... what the hell do they mean, what good are they. I used to just sleep, not remember the dreams. Of course I had less cares then, maybe younger equals fewer give a shit moments that get caught in the folds of the brain. Anyway, last Sunday we took a drive to see some sunflower fields. They were honestly not very impressive, probably due to the heat and lack of rain. Nonetheless, I pulled out the large format SpeedGraphic and shot this... it was 93 degrees with a slight breeze.
