Went out today trying to track down what I think was Wild Arugala. I took a picture of it a few days ago for my 100 flowers challenge, and needed to double check the leaves for confirmation.
While I was unsuccessful, I did discover that the tips of the greenbrier were in an edible state! So I did some foraging to try them out.
They’re delightfully crisp like mini-asparagus, but only the very tips of the vines and some of the leaves taste good. Much of the vine and tendrils left a lingering bitterness in my mouth, so I might try to fry those in olive oil and spices or something the next time I forage greenbrier tips.
