Danny/Gar/Raven, Magenta, "I knew you were trouble when you walked in"
This keeps growing on me, so have the first(??) part.
The Titans had gotten themselves a bit of a reputation through the years. Cyborg likes to blame it on how they were all teen heroes when they started; all full of hubris and hormones. And the thing is, he’s not wrong.
But he’s also not right.
Nightwing was, and always would be in all the ways that really mattered, their leader. The Titans stood because of him. And he may have been Robin, but he was never a meek little bird, at least not since ‘Robin’ came after ‘Batman’. Nightwing was a terror, because he had to be. He had people that he loved and he would not let them fall, not again. Each Titan strived to meet the bar he set.
Which meant all of them were vicious.
They were a snake strike wrapped in a smile.
With Gar that was sometimes literal, but not right then. Right then Gar was a large, green gorilla. He picked up one of the henchies and threw them across the room. They hit the side of the warehouse with a ringing noise that was a little worrying, but hopefully they’d be smart and crawl away. Raven flung two more after, her magic like the tails of galaxies. It distracted Gar for a moment, just because she was so damn beautiful when she wielded the world to her whims like that.
“More incoming!” Flash warned as he dashed past them, slowing down enough to be heard before he was gone again.
Raven frowned. “These people are annoying.”
“And they won’t just stay down,” Nightwing complained, each word accented by a hit against one of the white suited henchmen. He swept the feet out of under one as he dropped low himself, avoiding a green blast of power.
Green like they had any right to the color! Gar shifted into a moose, catching one of the color stealing bastards on his antlers and tossing them into the growing pile.
But Nightwing was right. They didn’t stay down.
“What is up with these guys?” Gar asked. He was human (or as much as he ever is) for just long enough to ask the question. A moment later and he was a mammoth and charging at a row of henchies. After the first few they start diving out of the way. There was the clatter of metal and crash of glass.
“Cults, you know?” Nightwing answered casually.
“The GIW—” one of the cultists started. Their words are cut off by a scream and an unholy sound that was somewhere between the screech of metal being ripped apart and the sound of a kid crying.
There was an expanding spot of nothingness near the sound.
It wasn’t darkness or like Raven’s magic, it was a void. It just… wasn’t.
Gar shifted back to human and backed up near the other Titans. One of the cultists was shouting into an earpiece. “Phantom is lose. I repeat that Phantom is—”
The void reached them and they bliped out of existence.
“Huh,” Raven said.
“Huh?” Gar asked.
“Death,” she answered with a little shrug. “But in the… inevitable way. Entropy. Like… mushrooms.”
Gar tilted his head. “That’s one hell of a mushroom.”
The void was shifting, somehow. Finally the cultists or henchmen or GIW or whoever they were had started to flee. (Wally would take care of rounding them up before they got out of the complex.)
“So…,” Nightwing started, “we shouldn’t be concerned?”
Raven squinted at the void.
Gar was pretty sure there was an arm reaching out of it now. If, like, anything existed there.
Raven shakes her head. “No. Or yes, we shouldn’t be concerned. They’re… a friend?”
(That was definitely an arm.)
(…arms.)
There was green now, like the blaster bolts but somehow… beautiful. Gar didn’t mind this being using green, not when it looked like that.
“That’s a crown,” Gar said, because it was. It was hard to tell, with the way that it swirled and twisted around the being. It sometimes looked more like a noose around their neck. Their hair was about Raven’s length, but unruly as it floated up and out. As the void coalesced, the being gained the rest of their body and legs. They were tall and skinny. Ribs glowed green inside the swirl of stars and darkness. Caged inside them, hanging in the dark and stars like it did, looked to be a planet. Moons orbited it.
Gar got the feeling that if he kept staring, he would be pulled into that world and lost to the whims of its holder.

The Garden come the end of summer and my winter crop seeds, which I will plant very soon after I harvest what is left in the garden beds. I managed to make some amazing calendula salve out of the flowers this year, it already is working so well!
