In my local arboretum the grove of Prunus 'Tai-haku' (great white cherry) are putting on their spring performance. The pure white flowers look so great with the young emerging bronze leaves.

At The Grange, Benenden, Kent, the Prunus 'Taihaku' (great white cherry) was flowering. This was the garden and home of Collingwood Ingram, known as ‘Cherry’ Ingram who helped restore this cultivar to Japan where it had become extinct.
