Every so often, I think about your general lore for your fics (or, at least what I think I remember, lmao) and how the spark bonded humans are basically immortal.
Like sure, they and their bot could die all sorts of ways, but from the perspective of a human? Who're lucky to hit 80 or more? A century or two without aging may as well feel like vampire-style immortality.
Once folk come to terms with the existential crisis after realizing they aren't aging, perhaps noticing it a decade or two in, perhaps they'll have silly, mundane opinions about the circumstances. Y'know, beyond the agony of outliving other humans and experiencing dread/euphoria in regards to the immense amount of future they're facing, and so on.
Like, "Haha, man, I'm so glad I get to be 30 until I die, lmao"
And, "Lucky bastard, I wish the aliens showed up sooner. Now I'm 50 forever, and I just have to deal with the back pain and arthritis and occasional mid-life crisis until the end of time."
Or, "God. I thought it would be great to be young forever, but after the last two centuries of having a 21-year-old brain, I'm desperate. Let mw age a little more. I keep jumping between the decades of earned wisdom, and being just the stuuuupidest motherfucker in the world."
OR, age unrelated, "yaaay, I won't die of old age before the series im following ends <3" and "by god, I can finally write my novels without worrying that the many years each one takes will kill me..." and "I can nap so much, omg... I have so so so so much time to waste now :'D " and "I have enough time to listen to every song ever and watch every movie ever... bless..."
Plus the occasional "fuck, I'm so bored with existing now, how tf do the bots do this"
Sorry for the long ask, but I looove thinkin about far-future scenarios like this xD
π€£ poor humans. Their aging is so slow after fully bonding that they donβt seem to age at all anymore and the human brain doesnβt deal well with tedium.

β’ Staring at yourself in the mirror, your fingers touch your face under an eye. Trying to decide if you look any different, if maybe that line at the corner of your eye is new. Had thought youβd stopped aging altogether at first, but the medics had explained that you were still aging. Just so slowly as to be nearly imperceptible to you. But for all intents and purposes, you might as well be immortal. Your lifespan tied to your conjunxβs and much longer than a humanβs should be. See movement behind you right before arms wrap around you. βShotty,β you gasp, laughing as your mass displaced conjunx rests his chin on top of your head to study your combined reflection.
