A tough greaser with a big heart. Korey is loyal and kind to his peers and allies. He projects a youthful energy around the Greasers. He's described as cheeky and playful within the circle. Although he does sometimes annoy everyone for the sake of his amusement, he really doesn't mind being annoyed back. If anything, he loves the banter.

Despite his friendliness and easy camaraderie, Korey is far from a pushover. He's prone to openly expressing his feelings to those he loves. As understanding as he is, Korey would still be confrontational when he's upset. He believes honest and open communication with his friends deepens the bond. He prefers being confronted and to hold accountability over brushing it off, or else he might get the idea that isn't worthy to get mad at.

He expresses his admiration for the greasers freely. He's often really touchy with them, though it's more of a sign that he trusts them and feels comfortable enough. Korey's a bit of an enthusiast of everyone in the circle.

Without being affected by the conflict between Lola and Johnny, Korey's friendship with Lola is steadfast. Korey is devoted to the Greasers, and he recognizes Lola as one of them. Lola begrudgingly finds Korey dependable for personal errands. Their relationship is platonic since they both irritate each other like siblings, yet Korey still cared enough to help Lola when he thinks it's necessary.

Korey believes both of them are in the wrong — Johnny for seeing Lola as an object (referring to the trophy girlfriend part), and Lola for toying with Johnny. Though Korey usually just steps away from the topic. Both of them are equally a headache to think about. 

On the contrary, Korey is pretty blunt and awfully straightforward towards anyone outside the clique, especially towards the Preppies. He holds a deep grudge against them. Korey couldn't bring himself to be nice to them, even if he was forced to try. Although he remains respectful towards girls from any clique, he still gets awfully bashful around pretty ladies.

Fun facts about Korey:

He's really good at dancing, specifically breakdancing. He learned them at a young age through breakdancing DVDs

Despite having a childish energy, he doesn't enjoy sweets at all. As a kid, he experienced a terrible aftermath from eating sugar too much — and his dental care was horrible because of it. Korey only takes sugar when he has to.

Korey grew up in New Coventry, so he's childhood best friends with Lefty. He knew about Luis too, whom he occasionally acknowledges when it's just the two of them

Korey has a secret fondness for cringeworthy romance films

He has a younger sister named Isavelle, who lives with their aunt. He hangs out with her every Sunday and calls it "Isa Sunday" (it's a sunny day)

Korey is chivalrous because he wants to raise the standards for Isavelle. He often worries about his image around her and he doesn't wish for Isavelle to end up like him. He even feels immense guilt whenever his sister admits to looking up to him.

He has a habit of calling everyone in the clique "big" before their shortened name (e.g. big John, big Nort, big V) Though he calls Lola "Lolz"

Korey is athletic. He's great at high jump and far jump, and he's interested to join track race next. He has quit smoking because of it

background: born to a mexican mom and a white dad, passed for white but barely spoke any english. would go out with his dad sometimes though and just faked it, but its not like anyone cared because hes not a soc so! met darry in elementary and this is where he learned most of his english. met the curtis parents/curtis 'gang' when everyone was babies. he grew up with them but at the same time grew up with tim shepard and his outfit because he stayed on the side of town where poc mostly lived. grew DISTANT from darry and the curtis gang, excluding dally, around junior/senior year of high school. started working as a mechanic halfway through senior year, is still what he does now.

personality/hobbies: crass, defensive, loud when angry, quiet any other time. hates religion and churches. listens to everyone and anyone if they need it. loves cars (again hes a mechanic), loves jazz/blues and will sing while working. drinks to forget, like anyone would.
