Once having a first draft after visioning the scene, what can you make the chapter's ending to let your reader flip the page to the next?
If suspension, what is there to surprise the reader? Any lovable/ evil characters to kill off? An old enemy's return? Mysteries to build questions?
(My example from the original story.)
"My back swiftly brushes into warmth presence from the girl's bold voice. My ears missed the melody of healing and nostalgic; lungs heavily whisper its cold I glance behind where the girl's voice summoned. My heart drowns before my eyes spill soft tears she stands ahead of the platform. Her long dress blesses to a twilight purple, and below sinks to jade. Black lashes. Thorn crown. Round eyes with burnt cinnamon, and greasy black hair.
"The girl, no longer a teenager, calls my nickname my family always named me. I know her face. My cousin's daughter.
"Daisy..." I sink my voice in underwater.
(Paragraphs are my examples as I would love to make an original novel. Bear with me, it my first time to share the idea chapter ending part.)
