hm. how about some classic creepypasta vibes somehow involving sombra and d.va with the whole hacking theme i guess
She’s almost used to the constant hacking, really. It’s stopped seriously bothering her a long time ago - especially since the hacker ended up giving D.Va her Discord, ‘in case you really need me to stop, or need me for anything else’. She’s even talked to the woman, now and again, and found her to be a little too smug but still fun company.
And, honestly, she likes the extra challenge. Streaming the same games she plays every night is one thing - playing those same games when her view is slowly rotating, or when everything’s gone purple, or when little messages keep popping up criticizing her play and providing her misleading information, is a new angle. It’s fun. A new way to approach her favorite games. A shared joke between the two of them.
This time, though, she’s not sure she gets the joke.
She’s had to shut down the stream, citing technical difficulties, because every time she goes to load up Starcraft II it’s the same thing. A different game, with simple (almost 2030s-ish) graphics, just showing a long hallway stretching into nothing. She can’t control anything, can’t move no matter what keys she hits, but behind her in her surround sound setup she can hear distant scraping and footsteps.
The hacker doesn’t respond to her first dozen IMs, and she’s starting to consider just giving up and shutting down for the night when finally a window pops up. Not Discord - just a text file, opened without any commands from her. She sighs.
Was trying to get my beauty rest over here. What’s up?
Hana responds by mousing over the icon for Starcraft before typing her reply. Can you let me play yet?
I didn’t do anything. A pause. Well, alright, I set it so your mouse would start lagging after the first hour, but that hasn’t gone off. What’s happening?
She opens the game in response. There’s no loading screen - just the corridor, seeming darker this time, concrete walls closing in. The noises start up.
There’s a long, long pause.
Yeah, right. Some joke. Make some weird ‘game’ that’s probably just a screenshot, play some creepy noises
The reply cuts her off. Noises?
Yeah, the shuffling and stuff?
It isn’t playing any noise.
Slowly, hesitantly, Hana moves to close the game.
The noises continue, soft. Shuffling feet on carpet. Breathing, labored, sounding painful.
Hana? Hana what’s going on? Hana listen I’ve contacted the police in your area they should be there soon
